Description

We're reaching out to inform you that SSL certificates for pre-deployed MSI and PKG installations of remote support below version 2.91.3 will expire on March 20th, 2024. To avoid warning messages being displayed to end users, please update your application to the latest version before this date. The app will still function post-expiry, but users must accept an SSL warning. Our latest update, version 2.91.3+, includes improved certificate handling, eliminating older certificate errors when it is detected as an old ScreenMeet certificate moving forward. Regular updates, ideally quarterly, are still recommended for optimal performance. If you have pre-deployed the MSI or PKG versions, please update to the latest version (instructions: https://docs.screenmeet.com/docs/deploying-a-pre-installed-client) to prevent connection delays and warnings. No action is needed for on-demand exe-based sessions as they always use the latest version. For questions or assistance, please submit a support ticket at https://screenmeet.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/2/group/2/create/9.

Description

We would like to inform you that SSL certificates for pre-deployed MSI and PKG installations of Beam below version 2.91.3 will expire on March 20th, 2024. To maintain functionality, it's crucial to update your application to the latest version before this date. After the expiry, the app will not allow connections due to the SSL mismatch if the application is not updated. In our latest update, version 2.91.3+, we have enhanced the handling of certificates, ensuring that connections are still allowed even if the SSL certificate is expired. We recommend keeping Beam updated, ideally every quarter, for seamless operation. For those with pre-deployed MSI or PKG versions of Beam, please update to the latest version (guidance available here: https://docs.screenmeet.com/docs/deploying-a-pre-installed-client) to avoid any disruptions in connectivity. Once our SSL certificates are updated, these devices must have been updated to allow unattended Beam sessions to work as expected. For questions or assistance, please submit a support ticket at https://screenmeet.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/2/group/2/create/9.
